Intuition and talking…

The thing about intuition is that it happens to you a lot, once you start allowing it happen, that is. And, when it’s bobbling along in your mind, it tends to bobble out of your mouth as well.

Perfect example…

Chatting with a friend about problems and so on. Just talking around ideas and what could be the reasons for things not being as she wished them to be. Suddenly, as she’s saying something, I have a strong urge to say something about a fear I ‘think’ she has. The fear has not been talked about, nor alluded to. In act, it has nothing in common with the rest of the conversation so far other than it is, I feel, something to do with the problem.

I wait for a gap, I say it, without really thinking about it or even deciding whether or not to go with it and lo and behold it is out and she hears it!

Pause by her as she takes it in. Slow look at me as if to say, ‘Where did THAT come from?’, followed by me feeling uncomfortable as if I’d done something stupid or rude or just plain dumb and she would never speak to me again, and then she smiles and says, ‘You know! I think that’s absolutely right. I’d never thought of that before! Well done!! That’s a great help. Thanks a lot!’

Now I’m in a feel-good place and beaming and nodding as if I do this with everyone I speak to and it’s nothing at all unusual and it’s just a small demonstration of my power and I suddenly realize that Hey! I DO do this all the time!

Now, if I could only just get my brain in gear to present the words better, I might not be so afraid of losing friends!
