New Blogging Thingy!
A quick entry to note that I have changed from Blogger (a free blogging tool) to WordPress (also a free blogging tool). The difference between them is that I can place WordPress on my server and access it there and have far greater control over it than I can with Blogger which sits on some faceless server elsewhere and I have to go to more trouble to actually write a post (phew!).
So, the upshot is that I think I’m already liking WordPress better than I did Blogger. It should mean I write more entries, but that is a matter of debate as I am currently involved in other activities.
Those include (but are not limited to),
- re-working the Dowsing Ebook into something much better. (I’m using a new package called TK3, from a company called The Night Kitchen - weird name!! - but a comprehensive reader and note-taker (amongst other features) which integrates the audio and video much better than plain HTML.)
- researching outlets for said ebook
- working on first draft of new ebook idea (details may be made known later, but right now it’s such a cracking good idea I want to keep it to myself).
- Having a life
- Looking after the two new chickens we’ve acquired.
- Other things to do with webwork!
We didn’t intend to have chickens, but we found one when we were out walking the dogs on some state land nearby. In the middle of nowhere, looking scared and with its rear end quite obviously attacked (featherless!), there was a chicken! We brought it home. We asked around and got nowhere. We found out that chickens need other chickens for company. Obviously, two dogs and three cats don’t count. So we got another chicken from a nice lady nearby and we’re now seeing how they get along. Anxiously awaiting our first egg!
Tha’ll do for now. I have to go see what’s happening!
