Dowsing and Animal Communication
One way of using dowsing is to communicate with your pets. Animal communication doesn’t have to be fancy. You don’t have to have special talent or ability. Just learn to dowse, then ask your pet questions. With dowsing, the only restriction is that your questions must be yes/no questions. However, it is pretty easy with practice to do that.
Have you ever wondered what your animal friend is thinking? Do you wonder if they like you, your family, your home, the food you feed them, the trainer they go to, their toys, etc.? Of course you have! Well, you can ask them if you can dowse. Dowsing is very easy to learn. If you haven’t tried it, visit The Intuition Center for more information on this technique.
You will want to ask your questions at a good time and in a good place. A quiet time and place are best. Pick a time when your animal is relaxed and not too active. If your pet is focused on some other activity, it will be harder to converse with him/her.
First, you want to tell your pet what you intend, and ask if they are willing to talk with you. Most of the time, you will get a ‘yes’, but if you don’t, try again later. Never force the issue. Maybe your pet isn’t up to it now, or has something on his/her mind. If you consistently get ‘no’, then make sure your polarity is not reversed. (For more info on this subject, visit the Intuition Center, or buy our dowsing course ebook.)
Don’t doubt the answers you get. Ask more questions if you feel you need clarification. Also, you can ask the same question in a couple of different ways to be sure you’re getting accurate responses. However, make sure you don’t bore your animal to death. Some animals have a limited attention span, and won’t enjoy answering the same question over and over.
Another factor to consider is that some animals, especially dogs, are bred to please people. This means they may react to questions as a small child would. If you tell them in advance your motives for talking with them, it will help them to relax and give honest answers. If they think you are quizzing them and judging them, they may just tell you what you want to hear. So tell your pet in advance that you love him/her and you honestly want to know what he/she thinks or feels so that you can do your best to help him/her be happy and healthy. I have worked with animals on occasion who lied for reasons of their own. Be aware that although this isn’t common, it is possible. Most of the time they lie for the same reasons a small child would: to please you, to avoid punishment, to maintain harmony.
Here are examples of some simple questions you can ask:
- Are you happy living with me?
- Would you like to have another animal come to live with you? Cat? Dog? Horse?
- Do you prefer to be the ‘only pet’ in the family?
- Are you happy with the food we are feeding you?
- Do you get enough variety in your food?
- Do you have any pain in your body at this time?
- If ‘yes’: Have you had it for longer than a day? a week? (You may need to explain units of time to get accurate answers.)
- Do you feel you get to play often enough?
- Do you feel physically healthy?
- Are you scared of anything in particular?
Obviously, some of these questions will lead to other questions. Just keep them simple yes/no questions, and you can get a lot of information.
