Dream on!
There has been one area of late which has received scant attention in this blog; the area of dreams.
Now I know that there are many amongst you who have had dreams and woken up and said, “Wow! That was vivid! I wonder what that was all about??” It’s no big deal, everyone has these things happen to them. However, what is important to remember is that no-one really knows about dreams, what they are, what they are for or even WHY they are as they are.
Of course, there are many fancy theories about them. Lots of ideas about reliving the day’s events, or sorting things out or problem solving.
But there is less about precognition in them. Or even, dare I say it…intuition? There, I said it!
I came across this article / promotional bit about one man’s dreams and how he has used them as precognitive ideas to help him with the stock market (I know, I know…it’s just too easy a headline…Dream And Grow Rich!) The whole kit and caboodle can be read here.
However, this is more than merely looking at his dreams (which, by the way, he has recorded faithfully for nearly 30 years!!). It’s also about intuition. And what he has to say about it is most interesting….
“A complete chapter is devoted to developing intuition that Stover breaks down into meditation, your physical diet, the mental diet, exercise and walking meditation, recording your dreams, Yoga exercises, guided visualizations, guessing games, following hunches, synchronicity-there are no accidents, free or rapid reading, idea trees. Stovers caveat in his conclusion to this chapter is quite noteworthy wherein he counsels his readers not to give ones entire life over to these practices but rather to recognize and develop intuitive skills that will be used in concert with the rational mind to reach a balanced decision.”
Now, I’ve never met him, but I like him already!! What a balanced way of looking at intuition! Look carefully at what he says will help develop your intuition. It’s a mix of the physical (diet, exercise) with the mental and the emotional. In other words, to be good at intuition (which means to be able to use it!!), you need to be, preferably, a balanced individual. And to be a balanced individual you need to mesh your intuition with your logical mind.
It’s no good just doing one without the other. Be balanced!! Which, of course, is a another way of saying that, if you want to be intuitive…guess what?? You’re going to have to start changing your life. It’s not just something you bolt on to your normal existence. You need to change your life and bring balance into it!!
And that’s a great thing to realize.
There’s one other aspect about this dream stuff, though. If it really is about predictive stuff……what does that say about time and time travel?? No! I’m not going there (at least, not yet).
