Eggs and the future…

Firstly, I should be honest here and say these are not the sort of eggs you are thinking of. These are different sorts of eggs. In fact they’re not eggs at all.

Before confusing you further, I should perhaps explain things.

These are Random Event Generators (REG’s), known as Eggs for short. They are extremely simple things. Nothing more than little black boxes which pump out a stream of binary numbers (either a 1 or a 0). That’s it. They do it in a completely random fashion. There are now 65 of them all over the world doing the same thing. Now, if they were completely random, then the overall effect would be equal amounts of 1’s and 0’s, which would make a very flat line graph. Any deviation would make a different graph

Someone took it into their heads to see if they could be altered merely by thinking about them. The someone was a Professor Jahn and the results stunned him. People could alter the random numbers being spewed out. No-one could explain it, but it was consistent.

Another someone, Dr Nelson at Princeton University, was sufficiently intrigued to set up the 40 Eggs and see what happened. Well, nothing much, until September 6 1997 when the graph shot off upwards, no longer the straight line. That was the day when an estimated 1 billion people watched the funeral of Princess Diana.

Then they started to notice that the graph showed an upward trend AHEAD of events. Like September 11, 2001… 4 hours BEFORE the attack, the graphs started moving. The same happened ahead of the tsunami in December 2006. Other events began to be “predicted”.

This has led Nelson to think about time as being flexible. It has also made him think about global consciousness. According to him, there are other labs showing similar predictive events but they are unwilling to share this information.

So, why is this piece of reporting apparently so breathless?

Because SCIENCE has decided it’s wonderful!! The other labs’ findings will, apparently,

“open up a far more interesting possibility - that one day we might be able to enhance psychic powers using machines that can ‘tune in’ to our subconscious mind, ….

Just as we have built mechanical engines to replace muscle power, could we one day build a device to enhance and interpret our hidden psychic abilities?”

Oh! give me a break! Just because science is (tentatively) getting round to thinking about intuition, we have to go down the road of science enhancing our puny little brains and minds. As if we are useless without it.

Heaven help us. Surely the important thing here in the tale of the eggs is that

“while we may all operate as individuals, we also appear to share something far, far greater - a global consciousness. “

And isn’t THAT the big thing? And isn’t that what those who use their intuition have known in some strange way since they first knew who was on the phone before they picked it up??

  1. This is the second time I have heard of Princess Diana affecting the global consciousness this week. Not a particularly scientific reply but maybe there is a growth in awareness happening here. I can see why 9/11 caused a surge as it has affected us on a global basis. I also felt an emotion regarding Diana but can`t see why yet that this caused a swing in the graph. Maybe it is nothing to do with apparent cause and effect on an obvious scale…maybe more to do with just measurement in advance of the huge emotion emitting from the event. I don`t totally comprehend the research parameters but this seems significant somehow.

  2. But that IS cause and effect, isn’t it? It’s just not the version we have come to know and love

  3. Yes it is cause and affect…just not what I was originally thinking. I was looking for a connection of events rather than emotions.Still..fascinating.

I thought Ann`s report of more boy babies being born at war times was interesting too…kind of redressing the balance of the men who died during battles. Hadn`t heard that before.

Different issue but still not a consciouly planned thing.

  4. Nigel, I’m finally getting around to reading this and it’s completely fascinating. I wonder if you can reference the quotes above? The link I clicked on doesn’t seem to be working.

Ria, my grandmother always said that the birth of more baby boys than girls precluded a war some 20 years hence. I don’t know how true this might prove to be, but I do like Ann’s theory better.

  5. The original link is fixed now. You can also search for Random Event Generators on the web and find a heap of stuff.
I confess to not knowing about births prior to war and am not sure about births post war either. Could be interesting to pursue it….
